Η κοιλάδα του Hunkair στην ασιατική ακτή του Βοσπόρου, όπου το 1835 η οθωμανική αυτοκρατορία υπέγραψε συνθήκη ειρήνης με τους Ρώσους, σύμφωνα με την οποία απαγορευόταν η διέλευση ξένων από τα στενά του Βοσπόρου. Απεικονίζεται η στιγμή κατά την οποία το πολυτελές πλοίο του Σουλτάνου απομακρύνεται από τη ρωσική ναυαρχίδα, ενώ στη ράχη του βουνού στο βάθος διακρίνονται οι λευκές σκηνές των 10.000 Ρώσων στρατιωτιών που συνόδευαν την αποστολή.

Πρόκειται για δίγλωσση έκδοση μεταγενέστερη της πρώτης που εκδόθηκε το 1838: "Constantinople and the scenery of the seven churches of Asia Minor illustrated. In a series of drawings from nature by Thomas Allom. With an historical account of Constantinople, and descriptions of the plates, by the Rev. Robert Walsh. LL.D. Chaplain to the Bristish Embassy at the Ottoman Empire". Στην ασιατική ακτή του Βοσπόρου απέναντι από τα Θεραπειά υπάρχει τοποθεσία, όπου οι σουλτάνοι είχαν κτίσει ένα κιόσκι, καθώς και ένα λιμανάκι (σκάλα) για να διευκολύνεται η αποβίβασή τους από το πλοίο. Από τη σκάλα αυτή έλαβε η περιοχή το όνομά της Hunkair iskellessi (η θέση αποβίβασης του σφαγέα - σφαγέας σήμαινε ο χαρακτηρισμός Hunkair που απέδιδαν στο σουλτάνο οι υποτελείς του για να υπογραμμίσουν το γεγονός ότι ασκούσε πάνω τους εξουσία ζωής και θανάτου).
