Description
Low base, slightly flaring ring foot. Open ovoid body. Vertical rim with slightly out-turned lip. Two round, upturned, horizontal handles just below lip. Cf. C 1973 155, C 1970 141, C 1940 345, C 1969 257, C 1969 259, C 1969 254, C 1969 261. Decoration: Bottom of base unglazed; outside of foot and body glazed except for decorated band between handles on both sides of four horizontal black-glaze bands with brown-orange running zig-zag between second and third band. Handles glazed on exposed surfaces. Underside of handles reserved. Interior glazed with small reserved circle in center of bottom. Irregular rreserved band at top of lip. Technique: WM
