
With great success, on Friday, March 11, 2025, the presentation of the project titled “Highlighting the Cultural Content of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens with the Help of Artificial Intelligence” (OPS 6004550) took place during the School’s annual review event, presented by the Director, Professor Bonna D. Wescoat.
The project is part of the “Digital Transformation 2021–2027” Program, with a total budget of €1,036,720 excluding VAT, and is implemented by a consortium consisting of the companies Mainsys, Talent, Master, Datoptron, Datawise, and ICCS (Institute of Communication and Computer Systems).
The project presentation, which leverages advanced Artificial Intelligence technologies to showcase and digitally utilize the School’s rich cultural heritage, attracted the interest of more than 1,200 participants, both in person and online, confirming the initiative’s appeal and importance.
The project aims to enhance accessibility and interaction with the School’s cultural content, contributing substantially to the promotion of cultural heritage through innovative methods.
The American School’s activities continue dynamically, with the next milestone being the preparation and presentation of the project in its entirety. Save the date: Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Cotsen Hall (9 Anapiron Polemou Street, Athens), where the major project presentation event will take place.
